HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY TRANSMISSION. IT WAS FINE UNTIL I HAD A REAR MAIN SEAL FIXED.
FROM A OIL LEAK I HAD. NOW MY TRAINEE SLIPS AND WON'T CHANGE IN GEAR. I NEED TO KNOW PLEASE IF
THE GUY DID NOT PLACE BACK THE TRAINEE RIGHT, THAT WOULD COARSE THAT THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.

Hi Susan:

I really don't think the mechanic could have done anything to the transmission to cause it to slip. However, there are a few things to check. First, make sure the trans fluid is full. Next, make sure there are no leaks under the car. After that, inspect the trans cooling lines for crimps, bent steel line, or anything that could restrict fluid flow.
