Transmission problem
1998 Chrysler Grand Voyager V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 142k miles

Would I need a new Transmission if I have radiator coolant in it.

Hi:

Your radiator has a transmission cooler at the bottom of it. If you have coolant in the ATF, I would have the radiator checked for replacement before the trans.

You definatley need a new radiator if fluid coolant is getting into transaxle. The transmission can be flushed out and filter changed and you should be fine unless coolant has been in there for sometime then it will attack the bonding agent on the clutches that hold the lining onto them and the clutch material will turn to mush and trans replacement will be a given.
