2000 Chrysler Concorde does not shift past 2nd gear

2000 Chrysler Concorde 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 50.000 miles

my speedometer quit working and now car wont go past 2nd gear. is this caused by the malfuncioning speedo' and what can i do about it? thanks mike n.

hi the problem can be either a input speed sensor or an output speed sensor , if the engine light is on now will be the best time to identify the problem by scanning the computer for the type of codes precent. if no codes are present it still does not mean that there is no preblem with them, you will need to check the wiring and conectors to see if bad conection is not the cause, first scann the pcm and get back to me with the codes.
