Over the last week or so my car has developed a coolant leak. I noticed the leak manifests only after the car has been shut off. I can see when the leak starts and its not alot, maybe half a cup or so. I was wondering if it was the thermostat or the water pump. Your help is greatly appreciated.

If leak is comming from front of engine then water pump is it. Thermo would leak whlie running. Pumps leak when shut down at first

Thank You for your quick response. Actually the leak comes from underneath the car. I thought it might be the thermostat gasket, or maybe even the housing. Any thoughts?
