I own a chrysler concorde. when I am driving on the interstate, the tachometer goes from 2 to 0 and the car slows down, then it will thump and pick up speed again. lately it has been cutting off on me. What is the problem?

Even if you don't have the check engine light come on, I would still go to an auto part store and have the computer scanned. I have a feeling it has something to do with your output speed sensor on the trans.
