1998 Chrysler Concorde 6 cyl Automatic 123000 miles

On my way back from the store, i slowed down almost completely to make a turn but realizing it was the wrong turn I sped back up. Five minutes later, I noticed my speedometer wasn't working. Everything else looked okay accept that.

Is the trans still shifting correctly? Has the check engine light come on? I'm thinking it may be a vehicle speed sensor issue.
