when pressing on gas transmission slip than catches up

At 185k I would try a service first, may just be fluid that is all used up.If that doesnt do it, you can try having the PCM scanned to see if the trans has recorded any trouble faults (like a bad solenoid) that could cause it.I tis quite possible that the trans may need a rebuild, simply due to mileage
