1997 Chrysler Concorde hood latch

I close my hood on my car and when I try to raise it back up my latch will not release the hood. How do I get it to release?

First try pushing down and pulling up on the hood at the same time someone pulls the release lever.

If that doesn't work then look behind the release lever and see if the cable is loose. If so, tighten it.
