I've just started having the problem where my brake lights stopped working. The running lights work and turn signals do too. Fuses and bulbs are ok. I also tried changing the light switch under the brake pedal and that didn't work either. A friend of mine told me he was pretty sure it was the signal switch. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,
Charles

Is the high mount brake light (the one by the rear window) working? If it is, your brake light switch is working properly.

Your brake light is not the same bulb as the turn signal, it sits next to it. Pull them out and verify that both filaments on the bulbs are working. Use jumper wires and test the filaments making sure that they both work. One circuit is brighter than the other, that is the brake light circuit.

The high mount one is not working. Also this morning, one brake light is now constintly on. I will have to check it out better after class to try and get it turned off.

Re-check the brake switch. You probably installed it too close to the pedal, thus turning it on all the time.
