I have a broken fan belt gates part 11A1395, will this cause the car not to start? Also can you give me a clear easy to follow diagram so I can replace it?

They made 2 different 6 cyl. Engines for your car. Both belt routings are nearly the same. Also, there are 2 belts. One is called a serpentine belt which is the wider of the 2 and has several groves under the belt. The other is a V-belt and is thinner and shaped like a V. It appears by the part# you gave that it's a V-belt. The V-belt drives the a/c compressor in your car. This will not prevent the engine from starting. If your serpentine belt broke your alternator stops working and your battery goes dead. Then your engine won't start. Most cars come with a belt routing diagram located somewhere under the hood. I think yours is on the upper radiator support. Look around and you'll find it. Sometimes it falls off or is removed but that's rare. Good luck!
