2000 Chrysler Cirrus Overheating

The temperature gauge will sometimes climb to HOT and I'll pull over, turn it off and rest for 10 minutes, then start it up and drive for maybe 30 miles without incident, then it begins to climb to HOT again. The coolant level is fine and there doesn't appear to be any leakage.
