2000 Chrysler Cirrus heater core

Hi:
Replacing the heater core is an involved process in this car. Basically you need to remove the glovebox and part of the dash. Regardless, I have no way of getting you the instructions. We have access to a repair manual, but can't copy and paste.

What I recommend is to purchase a manual for your vehicle. It will provide directions and pictures to guide you.

Just want to flush the heater core not remove it

This is a pretty old post. In the future, just go ahead and post a new one so that way we can address your specific concern and you can tell us about your vehicle. This will also help others find the answer if they have the same questions.

As for flushing the heater core. If you just disconnect the heater hoses at the cowl then you can rig up a garden hose on the feed line and a hose on the return line to route the water out of the engine. Then just use low pressure/flow and you will flush it out.

2000 Chrysler Cirrus 2.5 engine does it have a massive air flow sensor and if it does where is it located

Hi Joe,

It does not have an actual mass air flow sensor. The PCM calculates the air flow by using what is called the speed density method. This is engine speed, manifold pressure, and air temp to determine how much air is coming into the engine.
