I am trying to change the timing belt but I can not remove the harmonic balancer. I have removed the bolt from the crank and have a 2 jaw puller on the balancer. When I start to tighten the puller it pulls both the crank timing grear and the balancer. I can not seperate the two. There are no bolts or other attachments that I can see.

Because it is one piece crank/damper pulley. I didn't even have to use a puller on mine.

You are going to replace the water pump as well, right? Because, you should. Since it is a PITA to work on, you should replace whatever that is bad, all at one time. Water pump generally goes out at about 105-110K miles, similar to timing belt.
