I was backing out of a parking space. I turned my wheel to the left and I heard a pop. When I got ready to go forward, I could not steer my car to the left, only to the right. Looked like something came off of the inside of my left tire and a small piece of rubber was on the ground. WHat happened?

Sounds like your left side tie rod end broken off of the steering knuckle.
