1999 Chrysler Cirrus WON'T SHIFT

Transmission problem
1999 Chrysler Cirrus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My shift moves freely through all gears, but no gears engage in the transmiossion and the indicator lights on the dash and console don't move. any ideas?

Remove the shifter console cover and check the shifter cable. It is either broken or came off of the shifter pin.
