My 1999 Chrysler Cirrus overheated recently (did not shut down), and caused a check engine light. I had the code scanned and it read as a 0420 for catalyst effciency. I was actually surprised thinking it would come up with cylinder head over tempature! Is it posssible if the car has a coolant leak and over heats that it would cause a cat converter code? I know if the cat is clogged it could cause the car to over heat. Where do i begin on trouble shooting this problem? Please help!
