1996 Chrysler Cirrus Belt Pulley

1996 Chrysler Cirrus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

On my car, i had to replace the alternator, and now after i got everything put back on, i can not get the pulley to tighten the belt. the pulley will tighten on the bracket, but i can not get the pulley to get the belt tight enough. what should i do next?

If you're using the old belt, check the routing diagram on the timing belt cover or radiator support. It's possible to route the belt incorrectly around all the pullies.
