Computer problem
1995 Chrysler Cirrus 6 cyl Automatic 37,500 miles

The cirrus was sitting for 2 years but was fixed up and running great since Jan. 2009. Recently it has been stalling while on highways. The engine cuts off and I dont even realize until I go to give it gas and nothing happens. The lights and radio stay on. Once I coast to the side and come to a complete stop the car officially dies and all gauges die. Check engine light does not come on. If you wait 30-40 min. The car usually starts up again, sometimes for a long drive other times dies again 20 min. Later. My mechanics have replaced the distributor and the computer with no luck. No one seems to be able to tell me what is wrong. Please help.

Only two things I can think of is that since it was sitting for a whilr the power source that powers up these failures is corroded, or the fuel pump(from being used after sitting so long) is failing at times.
Not from mileage but age.
I started up a car I bought that sat for a year and it took months to get the fuel system free of dirt and moisture. Under the power center in the engine compartment are the wires that power up yhe computer, there's a spot to check also.
No check engine light means no power to the PCM. A cable for ground is also a place to look at. Joe
