my ca is making a funny popping sound from the front driver side wheel. it is only when i make a left hand turn and once in awhile when i hit a bump.

Feel or watch the top coils of the two front coil springs while a helper turns the steering wheel. They should turn freely and smoothly. If they bind while the wheels turn, then spring free and turn when enough pressure builds up, the upper strut mounts are binding and must be replaced.
