1995 Chrysler Cirrus iac motor

1995 Chrysler Cirrus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i was checking the iac motor i notice the shaft back itself all the way out an the spring to. is this normal or do i need to replace the iac motor.

With engine completely cold, attach the electrical connector. Turn the key on, but don't start. The pintle (shaft) should retract. If it doesn't, replace.
