Hello to you. A chrysler built overdrive 4 speed auto transaxle has a built in feature that helps a driver drive their car when an hydroelectric problem exists. This can be anything from a fluid pressure loss(leak) to a fuse, relay, or even a failed internal apply function that can only cause more damage. You can still try the other forward gear selections, but only a scanner(electronic tool) will point out the diagnostic starting point. Check for any fluid loss and the level of the transmission in Park. Hot. If you have any transmission codes or engine codes from a scan of their computers and are curious as to their vaslidity, just ask. Or see the 'site menu' it has many informative details on this problem. Sometimes it can mean buying a new car. Or just need a service, with a new filter and oil change. The higher the mileage, the more chance it may be more serious. Ok
