MY LIGHT SWITCH ON MY 1985 CHRYSLER 5TH AVE.IS STUCK; WHEN I TURN THE LIGHTS ON AT NIGHT, THE BRIGHTS WON'T TURN OFF. HOW DO I GO ABOUT FIXING THIS PROBLEM?

The dimmer switch is located halfway down the steering column on the left side. It is adjustable by loosening two 5/16" head bolts, then sliding the switch up and down. If you feel the springiness when you pull on the turn signal lever, but it doesn't click, suspect the bolts are loose and the switch moved. If there's no springiness feel to the lever, rather, it flops around easily, suspect the linkage popped out of the switch.
