my old headlights burned out so i got 2 new ones for high beam. once we put them in they worked for about 3 seconds than went out. so i done a test to see if the plug to the head lights, is getting power, which they do. but the headlights wouldnt go back on even though all the other lights still work.

High:

Perform a continunity on the new light Make sure they wern't burned out. If they are ok and you have power to the socket, the plug itself must be bad.
