The "battery" light appears when driving with lights on. The battery light does not flicker, the headlights and the interior lights flicker. I've had the battery checked and the altenator. The alenator check was 13 but it kept going up and down. The battery after being chared for 1 hour, still fell below the target number. How do I know which one is causing the problem?

Hi there,

If the battery light is flickering on and off, the problem will be the alternator, the battery being low will not bring on the charge light.

I have the same issue. My battery light came on and had the battery chkd. It chkd ok but was only charging to 45%. The alternator was chkd also and I was told it was ok too. I was told to chk the wiring going from the alternator to the battery. There must be a short in the connection that is causing the battery to not receive a full charge.
