What does a ESP BAS warning light stand for?

ESP/BAS stands for Electronic Stability Protection/Brake Assist System. There is a pulse registered at each wheel when the car is being driven. If a sensor isn't working properly, it will set this code. You will need to have the computer scanned to determine where the problem is originating.
