bliners have ashort, go on and off how do i fix

do both blinkers have the same problem, when you turn on the left or right do both sides do the same thing. If that is the problem it could be in the switch itself but first check the wires by the fuse box and the flasher itself. there maybe just a corroded wire or a loose wire.
