recently, my dash board air bag light comes on after the car is run a few minutes. It has been intermittent, but now stays on all the time. I have obtained a code for my car, P1684

That code's not important. It just means you disconnected the battery recently.

Does your horn and cruise control work during the time the light was on?

Wrenchtech, I see you are discribing what is going on with my Mother In Laws car. Airbag light on, no horn. Could you tell me what needs to be done? It is a 2001 Chrysler 300.
