The car is a 300m. When changing timing belt I noticed that the cam end are round with a flat spot.
After replacing cam seals , i noticed the pulleys have
almost a complete timing belt tooth of play.
Is this normal, or should they slide on without any play?

HI there,

Thank you for the donation,

IF you can move the cam a little either way with out belt on this will just be that the cam lobes have aligned up without any load on them, you find this in a lot of twin and quad cam engines, as loge at the valve timing marks are correctly aligned and the belt is tight all will be good.
