We don't know what the problem is either, but at least you can see what's happening or what it is that makes you think it's overheating. Wouldn't you like to share some of that information?

What do you see? What do you hear? What does the temperature gauge read? Is the coolant level full? Is there a puddle under the car? Is the air from the heater really hot or cold? Do you see bubbles in the overflow reservoir? Is the radiator fan turning on? Do the radiator hoses feel hot or cool?

Sounds like the problem is loss of coolant, but the cause needs to be determined. Based on your observation of liquid under the radiator, I would recommend having your mechanic perform a cooling system pressure test. If a leak doesn't show up right away, he can add dye to the coolant, then he will look again hours later with black light.

A leaking head gasket can also lead to overheating due to air pockets stopping coolant circulation. Your mechanic can test for that with a special tool held over the coolant overflow reservoir.
