Code p1132, rough idle

So, this issue can be caused by the PCV, so we need to make sure the valve is seated but the hose doesn't have any cracks in it.

There are a number of ways to check that but the best is to disconnect both ends, plug one of them with a bolt then put vacuum to the other end. The line should hold vacuum immediately. It is doesn't then it is cracked and needs to be replaced.

Then we need to check for vacuum leaks using this guide:

PCV valve and completely new PCV hose has been replaced, my A/C does go to defrost on a hard pull, but also like I said some days it runs like it's brand new and others just feels like it's under a load and hardly has any power...

So that is odd that it is not there all the time. However, that points to a possible vacuum leak so we need to wait for it to run rough again and then spray down the intake with brake cleaner and see if it smooths out at all.

Normally a vacuum leak is more constant, but anything is possible.

Next, we need to check the o2 sensor data when this is running rough and see if it is rich or lean. I am attaching the chart that will help with telling if it is rich or lean.

Okay. so, today I started the truck and let it warmup and I was listening very closely to the engine it acted like once it was fully warm, I could hear a hiss coming from the back of the engine it was but then it went away. so, when I have a little day light tomorrow i'm going to look at the back.

Hello, so this is what I have found out, I thought I had already changed out the driver side upstream sensor, apparently not I found the fuse that controls. The 02 sensors among a few other thing torque Converter solenoid and transmission shift solenoid but once I pulled that fuse running rough it took about 10-15 seconds and the idle leveled right out as soon as I plugged it back in the choppy idle came back, could the driver side upstream sensor be the issue I don't have a code for that sensor. i have a code for p1132, but maybe that sensor is sending a bad signal saying lean and the other sensor is trying to correct for the leanness?

Also passenger side o2 has been changed.

Okay. Yeah, that can absolutely be the issue. However, which fuse were you pulling? I just want to confirm this is an upstream sensor.

What you are doing when you unplug the sensor is causing the PCM to run off of a predetermined set of parameters so that means it doesn't read the o2 sensors anymore because they are disconnected. So, what I would do is go under the truck and unplug the sensors one at a time and wait for it to smooth out. Then replace any that cause it to smooth out.

The fuse I'm removing is the one that controls the sensors torque converter and transmission solenoid. now I changed the passenger o2 sensor, so what I did I still had the original one that was on the passenger side, so I took out the driver side and just put that one in, now that I have done that it's throwing a code for p1151. I'm guessing I just need to go ahead and replace that sensor as well, maybe just reading a little off because two different sensors.

Update: problem has been resolved. I replaced the driver's upstream sensor everything is working as it should now. Thanks for all the help with this. Matt
