I have started the engine (briefly) without the serpentine belt on and the chirping noise is still there. This noise gets faster from idle to approx. 1,100 rpm's. above 1,100 rpm's the chirping noise goes away completely.

Hello,

Chirping noises coming from your vehicle's vehicle's engine are usually made by bad bearing or some other type of rotational component. Since the serpentine belt was removed from your vehicle's engine, I would check down around the crankshaft pulley and see if there is anything around there that would be making this noise. Please get back to us with what you find out. We can go from there, if needed.

Thanks,
Alex
