I’m a uni student driving across the country and while I was pulling into my hotel, I noticed a chirping sound coming from my hood. I’ve had a small oil leak that I took in to get diagnosed at an auto shop and they said it’s alright as long as I keep track of the oil level and add oil when it’s low. Does anyone know what the problem might be or how serious it is?

Humm, that does not sound like a serpentine belt noise, I would remove the belt and spin the pulleys to see which one is making the noise. Also, while the belt is off, start the engine for a second to see if the noise is gone, it might be internal. Let me know.
