Earlier today I started to hear a chirping sound from the driver front wheel, then I heard a thumping sound, sort of sound like a flat tire the tire was not flat. I have the vehicle listed above Laredo.

Hi,

This could be a few different things. First, it could be related to a wheel bearing starting to fail. It can also be related to the brakes.

When you indicated thumping, did you feel it or just hear something? Was there anything you could do to make it stop such as press the brakes? Did the sound/sounds get louder with speed, turning, or anything you can think of?

One other thing. Check the accessory drive belt (serpentine belt) to make sure it isn't in the process of breaking.

Let me know.

Joe

Did not feel anything definitely heard it and the chirping sound seems to be heard when coasting or slowing down.

By chance, it is loud enough that you can record it and upload it for me to hear? Also, when you are coasting, if you apply the brakes lightly, does it change in pitch or stop? Another thought is the backing plate behind the brake rotor may have rusted and bent a bit. Check to make sure it isn't rubbing the rear of the brake rotor.

Let me know.
