How to start a V-8 y Malibu SS sedan that it has not been started in ages?

change fluids first and check hoses if soft replace them. maybe shoot some oil in cylinders prior to starting, leave plugs out and crank engine over. change filters as well and if you can drain fuel and replace with new. check plug wires if hard replace that and distributor parts.
