Tachometer/rpm's gauge not working

2005 CHEVROLET COBALT
10,010,000 MILES • 2.2L • 4 CYL • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

When i rev the engine the needle moves a little bit, but the needle is passing the redline and off the numbers where the redline is. Any advices?

this cold be a bad tachometer or bad cluster. check if it gets power then it may need to be rebuilt.
