2005 Chevy Venture

Replaced the cabin air filter in a 2005 Chevrolet Venture and now the air conditioner is making a humming noise. Why?

Since the cabin filter is in the glove box there is a good possibility that something fell into the duct work below the filter during the change. If possible remove the blower motor and check for any debris (paper).
