Our van started making loud screeching noises last year. It never was noisy while actually breaking, but just at the tail end of stopping. We had our breaks checked...some parts just cleaned, other parts replaced. The noise went away. A few months later, the noise returned. A brake guy told us that some cars are just noisier than others when stopping.
Well, the noise has progressively gotten louder over the months. It just doesn't make sense to be that loud. Even just getting into the van causes the screeching noise to come from the rear. My husband and I are both clueless when it comes to automotives. What is the noise? How bad is this? I am to the point where i just want to trade the thing in for a new vehicle because it worries me so.
