Power Steering Pump Replacement
Removal Procedure
Remove the accessory drive belt from the pump. Refer to DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT.
Remove the pressure hose from the pump.
Remove the return hose from the pump.
Remove the bolts from the pump.
Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle.
Remove the power steering pump pulley from the pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement.
Remove the reservoir from the pump.
Installation Procedure
Install the reservoir to the pump.
Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement.
Install the pump to the vehicle.
NOTE:Refer to FASTENER NOTICE.
Install the power steering pump bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the power steering pump bolts to 34 N.M (25 lb ft).
Install the return hose to the pump. Refer to Power Steering Return Hose Replacement.
Install the pressure hose to the pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Hose Replacement.
Install the drive belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT.
Fill the power steering system. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid.
Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System.
Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering System Test Procedure.
