2002 Chevy Venture engine started making a ticking noise

My 02 venture just stated making a ticking noise in the engine, the oil was changed less then 100 miles ago. What could the problem be?

Hi:
Make sure the oil is full and of the correct oil weight. Also, is there a quality oil filter on it? Finally, is the noise there all of the time or does it go away.
