I have spoken to other Venture owners and there seems to be a consensus that the intake manifold gasket needs to be replaced.
Are the posted instructions for replacing the intake manifold gasket on a 1999 Venture applicable to the 2002 model?
Also, the question was posted "What special tools are needed?" But, it was not answered.
Are any special tools needed??

I did the job and did not need any special tools. Make sure you have different kinds of 10mm, 13mm and 15mm tools, some of the bolts are REALLY hard to access!

Make sure you tighten the bolts to right moment, it is important, put them too tight and you pop out threads from the aluminium head, as I did! I changed the head gaskets and spark blugs while the engine was open.

I'm quite sure there is no major differences with -99 and -02 engines.

Good luck!
