Follow the rad hose on the drive side(upper). Where that hose ends, is where the thermostat is.
To remove the thermostat you must remove the exhaust heatshield and the pipe that is in the way of the thermostat housing, then remove the 2 or 3 bolts holding the housing in.
Now, I have successfully gotten the housing out with just removing the exhaust heatshield, so removal of the pipe is not necessary, although that is how the manual states to do it.
