2001 Chevy Venture Gas Gauge Gone Nuts !

My gas gauge jumps all over, mostly stays on full but sometimes goes to empty..or somewhere in the middle....

Help don't know how much gas I have..

Probably the potentiometer (sending unit) has gone bad or is just worn out. This is part of the fuel pump module and the tank is required to be dropped to change it. Other lesss likely causes are the instrument panel cluster, or wiring.
