My car ran out of gas a few days ago and hasn't started even after putting gas back in. I was told it could be the fuel filter because it acts like it wants to start, but won't stay on. After a few hours of rest it started a couple of times, but it sputtered and shut back off. Could this be the fuel filter as I was told or something more serious like the fuel pump?
