Engine Performance problem
2000 Chevy Venture 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 95000 miles

I have a 2000 Chevy Venture. As it warms up under steady load it begins to misfire or surge in a rhythm (1-2-1-2). As it is warming it is first noticeable at higher speeds then it becomes noticeable at lower speeds. If you push hard on the accelerator it smooths out. But then when you pull back and hold it steady it begins again.

Any help is appreciated. I am not planning to fix it myself but would like to have some idea before taking it to another shop. The cleaned the mass air flow sensor but to no avail.

Pull the vacuum off the fuel pressure regulator and plug the line. Drive it to see if it makes any difference.
