Hi,
I just bought this van and I have 2 issues. 1) The automatic sliding door opens just fine, but when you try and close it reopens at the point when it is almost closed. 2) There is a beeping sound that starts when you put the van in gear. It comes from behind the trim panel that covers the electric door motor. Any clue?

Hello. Thanks for the donation. Much appreciated

check for any blockages in the track of the door. If it senses anything the door will automatically reverse. Also this could be causing the sensors to believe the door is not closed correctly. Hope this helps. Let me know !

STOPPING CLOSING OPERATION
The Power Sliding Door (PSD) closing operation can be stopped in the following ways:
Closing operation was started by an opening reversal and travel is impeded while closing.
Close operation exceeds 20 seconds
Depressing PSD on/off switch in overhead console to Off position.
Sliding door reaches fully closed position.

OPTICAL SENSOR
NOTE:Do not allow bright light to reach optical sensor during testing. Module may not be able to monitor position.

Optical sensor, located in rear bottom of door sends pulses to Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module (RSDACM). RSDACM uses pulses to determine door position.

TRANSAXLE RANGE SWITCH
The transaxle range switch is monitored by Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module (RSDACM). If transaxle range switch is in Park, Power Sliding Door (PSD) can be opened or closed from any open/close request, providing PSD on/off switch is on.
When vehicle is shifted out of Park, any request to open PSD will be ignored by RSDACM. Only manual operation of sliding door will be possible. If PSD is open, a powered close function can occur if transaxle is out of Park and PSD alarm sounds to alert driver that sliding door is not fully closed. PSD may not latch due to vehicle motion.
