1999 Chevy Venture 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Ok the other night we were at a stop light the van starts sounding and running bad and just quits .I started it back but as soon as I put it in gear it would die again. So had it towed home .Checked all fluids are good . My dad said oil pump was out so replaced oil pump and screen and rear seal because it was leaking. Now it will not idle as soon as u let off the gas it will die .Could it be a sensor ?

Clean out the idle air control valve and see what happens.
