My bcm has a code 1234 what is this and how can I reset it?

Well I'm trying to reprogram the key fob/remote and I remove the bcm fuse and turn the key to ACC it chimes lvl 4 but when I turn the key to off then ACC it chimes---chimes-chimes---chimes-chimes-chimes---chimes-chimes-chimes-chimes---then repeats X3 times whats that then? Or am I going at reprograming the fod/remote all wrong?

It may be stuck in a program mode. Try putting the fuse in and starting over.

I found the problem my daughter turned on the back two lights after I turned them off I didn't get that error but I think my receiver is broke, I took my key fob to auto-zone and checked it, its good, so I guess the receiver isn't receiving :(

I only have the one, should get a new remote? I can get new one for about $35, or try replacing the receiver?*I have heard from others that receivers don't go out that often*.
