Transmission rebuilt but there is a knock in engine. (When purchased their was ant-freeze found in the gas) Does this always mean a new engine is in order?

Actually, coolant can't get into the gas. THe only thing that can happen is the intake gasket or head gasket could fail and get into the combustion chamber. As far as the knock, how bad is it, where does it sound like it is coming from.

Let me know. Also, does the exhaust omit a white smoke all of the time or at all?
