my van has been sitting for about 3 months without driving. van wont start.
tries to start and quickly dies/
a friend said i probably had a bad fuel filter but i dont know where it is located at.
has 1/2 tank of gas in it.
is a 1500 series van used for traveling-not a cargo
can you shed some light as to the problem and where exactly the fuel filter is located at. And is it something that i could change out.

Hi:
I believe the fuel filter is along the fraim rail on the driver's side. As far as a check, you could check the fuel pump pressure to the fuel rail. Many parts stores will lend or rent the gauge. If you have never done it, check out this "How To" video.

https://www.2carpros.com/dia/test_fuel_pressure.htm

Let me know what pressure you get. Also, if you think it is a fuel problem, see if it will start with starting fluid.

Let me know what you find.
