Engine Performance problem
1975 Chevy Van V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
This is a 1 ton camper van with 350 and about 89,000 miles. Always ran like a top until now.
After starting up from cold, the engine will race for awhile, where upon I'll goose the throttle to get it to idle. Lately, after a minute or two, it'll start missing and eventually die. Kind of acts as if the choke was closed but that is not the case. Driving it around the block is a struggle
I've replaced the plugs, and made sure the timing and dwell were right on. I don't think it's a fuel issue because of how it runs at fast idle when cold. I was told that the ignition should be electronic, but it has points.
Any advice on where to go from here is much appreciated.
